Hospice Facility

Although hospice focuses on ‘home’ care, it can also include care in nursing homes and assisted-living facilities. Some hospice organizations also have an inpatient facility. All of the hospice services offered to outpatients can be provided in these locations, plus some that can’t be managed at home.

  • Whether giving your caretakers respite or getting through a difficult period, most admissions are temporary.
  • If you or your family are not able to face everything that goes along with dying at home, you can spend your remaining time in a hospice facility.
  • Hospice care may significantly lower end-of-life medical expenses, especially if you spend more than 15 days in hospice.
