Dating Sites Used by Seniors

If your loved one was using dating/connection sites, it is better to close down their account. Most of these sites charge a fee, which may be automatically renewed. In addition, it will stop all the notifications and requests that may continue to come if you don’t. 

When you know your loved one’s password and username or email you must login to their account to begin the process.

eHarmony

Christian Mingle

Password and email unknown — Make a request to cancel their Christian Mingle membership by contacting them, sending an email, or calling them at 866-660-7924.

DateMyAge

Password and email known — Make a request to cancel their DateMyAge account by sending an email or calling them at 888-980-9770.

Match

Password and email known or unknown — Make a request to cancel their membership by email through Customer Care or sending a written notice of cancellation to:

OurTime

Password and username known

  1. Log in to their OurTime account using their email and password.
  2. Click My Account from the drop down menu.
  3. Locate Account Status and then click View Account Status.
  4. Click More Account Status Changes.
    1. Click Remove My Profile.
    2. Respond to the question and then click Confirm.
    3. Repeat with Remove Automatic Renewal.

Zoosk

Password and username known

If they were a subscriber you will first need to cancel their subscription.

  1. Log into their Zoosk account using their username and password. 
  2. Click on the cogwheel icon in the top left corner of the page near their name.
  3. Select the menu Subscription on the right side.
  4. Select Cancel Subscription on the bottom part of the your subscription page.
  5. Click on Unsubscribe and select a cancellation reason.

After you have done this or if they were not a subscriber.

  1. Log into their Zoosk account using their username and password. 
  2. Click on the cogwheel icon in the top left corner of the page, near their name.
  3. Click on Account and then select Account Status.
  4. Click on Deactivate Account.
  5. Select Deactivate on the bottom of the screen.
  6. Confirm your choice by selecting Deactivate Your Zoosk Account on the confirmation page.
